Today, the Graduate Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering (PPGEEC) at the Federal University of Ceará, Sobral Campus, joined an interactive online lecture by Professor Kai-Kit Wong. The event was organized in Fortaleza by the IEEE Northeast Brazil ComSoc/CS/PS Joint Chapter.

Professor Rafael Lima coordinated the session in Sobral, with support from the IEEE Student Branch, while Professor Fazal-E-Asim, from PPGETI, coordinated the session in Fortaleza. Undergraduate and master’s students in Sobral attended remotely and had the opportunity to engage directly with the speaker.

While fluid antennas were the central topic, Professor Wong’s talk went well beyond the technology, offering a distinctive perspective on the past, present, and future of mobile communications, bringing together academic research and an industry perspective.
